Katherine Winge C-IAYT

My intention is to create a space of inclusiveness, so students of various abilities may explore the rich inner landscape of their body-heart-mind.

I have been practicing yoga for 20 years and teaching yoga (in the water and on land) for over a decade.

In my personal practice, yoga and meditation help me feel sane and remember what’s important. My favorite practices are ones that open the subtle body, deepen compassion (for self and others), and increase my capacity for presence and joy.

I've received certification as a yoga therapist through the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT) and graduated from Yoga Studies Institute Teacher Training and Dharma Yoga Teacher Training. I am a Trained Mindful Self-Compassion Teacher, Aqua Kriya Yoga Senior Teacher, and Aqua Kriya Yoga Teacher Trainer. I am currently attending the 2-year Hakomi Comprehensive Training. Hakomi is a mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy. Once certified, I will integrate Hakomi into my private yoga therapy sessions.

My teaching style is inspired by classic hatha yoga, Tibetan Heart Yoga, as well as functional yoga practices. Initiated into the Kriya Yoga, Mahayana, and Gelugpa lineage. I feel immense gratitude for the teachings and all my teachers.
